Licensing of XtalView for commercial is handled from this web site. Since XtalView was developed when Duncan McRee was at Scripps, the program belongs to Scripps and a large part of the revenue goes to them.
XtalView runs on Linux, SGI, and Sun operating systems.
Academic
XtalView is free for academic and non-profit use. To obtain access information please register on the Registration page.
Commercial
Commercial use of XtalView requires a license. Please contact russ.athay@rigaku.com to get a formal quote. The current prices, subject to change without notice, are:

Demo
There is no time limited demo version for XtalView, but if you contact us at russ.athay@rigaku.com we will send you permission to download the standard version and use it for a limited time.
Maintenance
XtalView is not being actively developed, but there are bug fixes and new versions occasionally. Maintenance includes email support and free upgrades and can be purchased for 15% of the current price. The initial license includes 1 year free maintenance.
